- Why should I choose Best Coast Tours?

- How long is the tour?
Depends on the tour. Day tours are normally 8+/- hours (depending on traffic) when picking up from our Orange County locations. Traffic can be heavy on some parts of the tour, so on a rare occasion, the tour might go over 8 hours. Evening California brewery tours are usually about 3.5+/- hours when picking up from their area locations. For durations for specific tours, check their specific tour description page.
- Where do we pay and what do you accept?
We accept tour payments using all major credit cards through our online booking system or over the phone at (949) 328-4222. We do not accept cash.
- What is the cancellation policy?
All cancellations must be made at least two days prior to the tour and must be confirmed by one of our operators.
No refund for no-show – No refund if canceled the day before the tour.
No refund two days before the tour. However, we can offer you a gift certificate for the ticket value or reschedule you for the next available day.
We encourage customers to make cancellation requests over the phone during the operating hours. We do not take overnight email into consideration and will mark them as received at our opening hour in the morning. Cancellation request by voicemail and text message are not accepted.
- What is the cutoff time for making an online reservation?
Online reservations can be made up 24 hours before the tour scheduled departure times. After that cutoff time, reservations can only be made by calling (949) 328-4222.
- How far in advance must we reserve?
As soon as your plans are solid; but all customers are recommended to make a confirmed reservation at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee a seat as tours sell out quickly.
- What if I purchased my tickets from a third party vendor?
Tickets purchased from a third party vendor(s) must call for reservation at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee a seat. (Maximum five persons allowed per party and per tour).
- Do I receive a confirmation?
When you book online, you receive a confirmation email from FareHarbor (our online booking partner) that confirms your booking(s) and the details of your tour(s). You should receive this email a few minutes after your booking. Bring your reservation number and a photo ID to the tour pick-up location.
- Is it secure to enter my credit card number?
Best Coast Tours use the service of FareHarbor for the secure payment. FareHarbor is an expert on secure payment and uses the latest encryption techniques to ensure maximum security when you pay online.
- Do you use my personal information?
As we are aware of and respect your privacy, the information you give, including your email address, is used only for the process of your reservation, confirmation, and follow-up and won’t be sold or used for any other purpose.
- Do we have a guide?
Yes, sit back and relax our tours are given by a local informed and entertaining guide!
- Do I need a booster or car seat for my child?
Yes, children under the age of nine or 40 pounds must be secured in a car seat or booster seat. California happens to be one of the states that do NOT make an exception. Proper safety seats are required. Best Coast Tours can provide car seats or booster seats for your loved ones if needed, but we recommend customers to provide their own.

- Can I purchase a ticket for a friend or family member? Do you sell gift certificates?
If you would like to purchase a ticket for a friend or family member and they will not be traveling with you, they may do so online at our website or by calling our reservations at 949-328-4222. If you would like to purchase a ticket for a friend or family member who does not yet have a set travel date, consider purchasing a travel gift certificate. These can be purchased online at our website or by calling our reservations at 949-328-4222.
- Does Best Coast Tours operate a tour if it rains?
Yes, depending on road conditions and/or closures. Best Coast Tour’s modern motor vans are equipped with windshield wipers, defog systems, etc. Our vans are meticulously maintained daily and meet or exceed all governmental operating requirements.
- What do I wear and what should a I bring for a tour?
Dress comfortably! We recommend wearing walking or hiking shoes as there are several locations where you will be walking and even some minor grades on trails if you choose. Guests should always bring a jacket and hat. Our days are usually mild often warm to hot in the summer months. Sunglasses are especially important for wearing on our whale watching tours. Some sunblock and water are highly recommended. A light jacket and/or hat is advisable. It could be cool on the boats especially if fog rolls in.
- Does Best Coast Tours have Private Group and Specialized tours?
Yes we offer private tours where a group may book our vans for the entire day. We also offer specialized tours of Temecula wineries, Dana Point Harbor Christmas Lights, Fourth of July Dana Point Fireworks, Food Tours, Photography Tours, etc. Please call or email us with your request and we’ll do our best to create a unique experience custom tailored to your needs!
