Southern California Events In August

Summer is in full swing! Let’s get outside and enjoy the things that make Southern California so amazing. Here are some great events taking place in August!

Los Angeles Events

July 16th, 2021 – October 24th, 2021
One of America’s largest Asian food markets at Anita Park’s front Paddock Gardens (285 W Huntington Dr.) You can enjoy over 250 Asian street foods, drinks, live music, and games. The market opens at 4 pm every day and closes at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays (and 11 pm on Sundays).
July 16th, 2021 – September 26th, 2021 
Boat Cinema presents a summer movie night literally on Castaic Lake every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You can rent an electric mini boat, a shallow-water blow-up, or a BYOB boat. This first floating boat experience includes beachside music, picnics with charcuterie boxes, and can even order pizza directly to your boat!
July 18th, 2021 – August 31st 2021
Every other Sunday till the end of August, go to Hollywood to see over 100 vendors. You can shop for locally hand-made crafts, clothing, jewelry, and food! This is free entry on Cahuenga Blvd, by the corner of Hollywood Blvd.

Orange County Events

July 7th, 2021 – September 3rd, 2021
This year’s theme is “Made in America” at the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach where you can experience art coming to life. The show includes real people dressing up and posing as classic paintings, murals, and statues. Grab your snacks and buy your tickets because the show starts at 8:30 pm!
July 2nd, 2021 – September 5th, 2021 
If you love art this is the place to be! The Sawdust Festival is an outdoor arts and crafts festival where you can admire and buy directly from the artist. Enjoy live music and great company as you walk around the artistic atmosphere.

Calling all music lovers! Grab your family and friends for a night of laughter, dancing, and singing. Orange County offers free concerts in the park at multiple locations. Arrive early to set up your blankets and low-rise chairs for a night full of fun!

San Diego Events

July 17th, 2021 – September 6th, 2021
Get ready to place your bets and have some fun! Make your way to the Del Mar Racetrack to watch the horse races at 2 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. All summer long, there will also be special events such as BBQ and chili cookoffs, salsa contests, and many more!
Sunday, August 22th 2021
Join the fun and bike the neighborhoods across the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge. This is a 25-mile community bike ride on a flat course and is available to all abilities. After the ride, you will be able to enjoy food, beverages, and entertainment!
Sunday, August 8th, 2021
We love our furry friends! Dog Days of Summer is an all-day event where over 10,000 attendees come from all over San Diego. There will also be vendors, pet adoptions from local shelters and rescue organizations, dog and kid zones. Dress up as your furry best friend to be entered in contests and win prizes! Come out for a fun-filled day!

Temecula Events

Wine Tasting and Chocolate Truffle Pairing
June 25th 2021 – December 31st, 2021
What is better than wine and chocolate? Now available at the Sugarplum Zoo you can enjoy six wines paired with chocolate truffles and a gift box of tasting room truffles! A great experience with friends, family, or a significant other!

Temecula Valley Summer Concert Series
June 10th, 2021 – August 26th, 2021
Every Thursday at 7 pm at the City of Temecula Community Services Department will be an outdoor summer concert. There is a great line up of bands that will perform this year! Check out the website for more information on the concert schedule.
