It’s almost time for America’s favorite holiday, the 4th of July. BBQs, family gatherings, and fireworks set this summer holiday apart. Whether heading camping, launching into a nearby lake, or exploring downtown Los Angeles, there’s always something to do on this memorable holiday.

Here, we round up some of the top fireworks spots in Southern California and some fun events lined up for this spectacular holiday. Let’s look at Southern California’s best 4th of July events without further ado.

Where to See Fireworks in Southern California

Plenty of towns across Southern California host their own fireworks shows, so be sure to check near you for small celebrations on the 4th. However, if you’re looking to celebrate America’s birthday with a bang (pun intended), there are a few big events worth checking out.

In LA, you can check out the Los Angeles County display in Marina Del Rey, or head over to the Newport Beach display in Orange County. If you’re in for a digital celebration, downtown LA plans on setting off a large drone display, offering a dazzling light show of fireworks without the loud noises or chance of starting a fire.

And of course, if you’re heading to any of the various amusement parks in the area, you can catch some spectacular fireworks at Disneyland every night. No matter where you go in Southern California, get ready to celebrate the 4th in style with incredible fireworks displays.

Celebrate at Beloved Theme Parks

With so many iconic theme parks and event centers throughout Southern California, it’s no surprise you can celebrate our nation’s founding at any one. While Disneyland does fireworks every evening, their 4th of July celebration puts every other night to shame.

Knott’s Berry Farm offers more than just berries, and every 4th of July, they kick things off with a bang with their annual July 4th celebration. Of course, Universal Studios Hollywood also gets in on the patriotic fun with a fireworks display. Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom set off fireworks for four days up to the 4th of July.

Plenty of other theme parks and event centers in Southern California send off a celebratory salute on the 4th, so be sure to check out their website to find out when the celebrations kick off.
