Fall Events and Activities in Southern California
The fall season has finally arrived! Pumpkin patches and apple orchards are ripe for the picking. Before the month is up and winter is truly here, why not do one or two of these fall activities with friends and family!
Los Angeles
October 1st – October 31st, 2021
Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns pumpkin patch is a family-owned business that strives to reach the full potential of the Halloween spirit. They offer premium pumpkins, corn, games, activities, pumpkin decorating kits, pumpkin carving kits, and attractions!
October 2nd – October 31st, 2021
Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Fest finally returns for its 28th year! It will be filled with your favorite Activities and Farm Fun. Pick a pumpkin, pet a goat, ride a hay wagon, and get lost in the giant corn maze!
September 6th – November 25th, 2021
Apple season is here! Los Rios Rancho is Southern California’s largest Apple Farm in operation since 1906. Visit for apple picking, tractor rides, live music, and so much more!
Orange County
September 18th – October 31, 2021
Have you ever picked your own pumpkin right out of the pumpkin patch? Tanaka Farms is one of the only farms in Orange County with a REAL pumpkin patch! They offer lots of activities, from wagon rides to arts and crafts!
September 25th – October 31st, 2021
The Fall Harvest on the Farm returns! Visit the Underwood Family Farms to Pick Your Own & games, rides, photos, live entertainment, themed weekends, bands, and more! Weekends will include all live entertainment.
The first day of operation will begin on Saturday, September 4th till the fruit is gone. Apple Starr Orchard parcels cover approximately 28 acres of which 8 acres are planted with apples and pears!
Temecula
September 25th – October 31st, 2021
Peltzer Pumpkin Farm offers pony rides, face painting, and carnival games. Can’t get enough fun? Enjoy unlimited weekly visits to the Farm with your Pumpkin Pass!
October 2nd – October 31st, 2021
Come and be a’MAZE’d as you will get lost in the largest corn maze in Southern California at Big Horse Feed! Come and join them for a fun-filled day at the farm.
*The Corn Maze is CLOSED Monday, Oct 4th, and 11th and 18th for maintenance and watering.
September – Beginning of November 2021
The apple trees on Willowbrook Apple Farm were planted in 1910 and have been lovingly cared for by generations of family farmers. Surrounded by fall colors in the San Bernardino mountains, you can enjoy locally grown food, freshly pressed apple cider, meet farm animals, and experience small farm life!

Travel down to Pumpkin Station! There is room for everyone to go because they offer multiple different locations all around San Diego. Have some fun at the pumpkin patch check out the giant slides, play center, swing ride, train jump, and more!
September – October 2021
Julian Farm & Orchard is a great place to explore your agricultural side! On the weekends there will be hayrides, cider pressing, petting zoo, ax throwing, and a pumpkin patch! However, there will be no apple picking on the weekends.
There are so many fun options for Fall! It can be a tough choice. We personally love watching the vines in Temecula change color and enjoying the cooler air while sipping some award-winning wines!
